Program Outcome

The manner in which UG syllabus is framed helps the students to develop their cognitive skills—such as evaluating, analyzing and understanding how all pieces of a ‘concept’ fit together, thereby, giving them a strong foundation in the field of their choice.  Additionally, certain extra credits has been introduced that develop soft skills, , inculcate community service and other skills that will help students to successfully navigate their lives and be ready to be local, national and global citizen. The restructured syllabus combines basic principles of Physical, Chemical and Biological sciences in light of advancements in technology. The curriculum aims to impart basic knowledge with emphasis on its applications to make the students industry ready. The First year course covers, insights to basic concepts of Organic Chemistry, Stereochemistry, Plant, Animal and Microbial Diversity and Cell Biology, basic microbial techniques, branches of Biotechnology and their applications, concepts of mutations and DNA Repair and Genetic Engineering, Bioorganic Molecules, Thermodynamics, Kinetics and Redox Reactions, Physiological Processes in Plants and Animals, Techniques of Plant and Animal Tissue Culture, Enzymology, Immunology and Biostatistics The Second year course covers insights to Biophysical theories, idea on the fundamentals and applications of Organic and Green Chemistry, familiarize students with immunology & immunotechnique, Cell biology, molecular biology, food technology, Biochemistry, Genetics, environmental biotechnology, medical microbiology, marine biotechnology, research methodology, IPR, Biosafety & enterpreurship. The Third year course covers insights cell biology & developmental biology, medical microbiology and instrumentation, genomes and molecular biology, theories of marine science and marine ecosystem, Biosafety,Good Laboratory Practices, contaminants and containment in Biotechnology, Protein Biochemistry, Anabolic pathways of metabolism, Endocrinology and Nutrition, industrial microbiology, pharmacology and Neurochemistry, agribiotechnology Internal project are assigned to students to understand in-depth knowledge about the field & there application
