 Staff Colloquium |
On January 28, 2010, the Staff Colloquium organised a lecture on “Rheumatism and Arthritis: Myths and Facts”, by Dr. Nimish Nanavati, Consultant Rheumatologist, Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai.
Dr. Nanavati explained the common misconceptions about arthritis and also the diagnosis and treatment that could alleviate the symptoms. He stressed the need for a change of lifestyle as a measure to prevent arthritis.
The audience responded to Dr. Nanavati’s highly lucid lecture with rapt attention and at the end of the session, raised several pertinent questions. Dr. Nanavati’s talk was highly appreciated by all. |

| Your Belief Student Relef Scheme |
| Annual Function of “Your Belief Students Relief Scheme” was organised in the Auditorium of Patkar College on 30th December, 2009. |

- Shri Ashok Panvalkar, Editor, Maharashtra Times was the Chief Guest for the function.
- Shri Kishore Rangnekar, President, Chikitsak Samuha presided over the function.

The cheques were distributed to 80 Students of Patkar- Varde College from Aided as well as Self – Financed Section, 10 students of A.B. Goregaonkar High School and 10 students of Unnat Nagar Municipal High School. Dr. Gurunath Pandit, Shri Paivaidya, Shri P. J. Joshi, Shri Ajgaonkar, Dr. Uday Masheklar, Dr. Suman Pawar were present for the function. |

| RESEARCH SCHOLARS MEET -2009 |
Research Cell of Patkar – Varde College took an initiative to bring the research work of all teachers and research students under one roof named as PATKAR VARDE COLLEGE RESEARCH SCHOLAR MEET on 29th December 2009.
It was a great success with more than 100 participants with ten oral presentations from the teachers and also poster presentations from faculty members. The abstract book of the meet was also released at the time of meet. |
