The NSS unit always takes initiative when the question of helping the under privileged arises. For the past many years the unit of our college has been associated with PUNARVAS, a school for mentally challenged in Goregaon. The Rakhis and gift articles prepared by the students of this school are exhibited for sale in the college before Raksha Bandhan. The exhibition is kept open for the general public as well. |
| |

Since last year the college NSS unit has been associated with another NGO – CREATIVE HANDICRAFTS, which provides a platform for the homeless and destitute women to earn a livelihood and display their skills. Exhibition of soft toys, bags, purses and other gift articles is arranged once a year. These events are received well by the college students and have the backing of the management as well. |

For the year 2000-2001 & 2001-2002, the adopted area was Aarey Colony where the college unit worked at five adivasi pada viz., Bhurigan Pada, Khambacha Pada, Kelti Pada, Jivacha Pada and Gavdevi Pada through out the year. Activities undertaken here to name a few were : |

| |
 |
In the year 2002-2003, two areas were adopted :
i) , the school for the mentally challenged ,Goregaon(West) and
ii) (Sweepers Colony), Goregaon(West).
The aim was in the first area to sensitize the youth towards mentally challenged children, their problems etc. The activities included class room assistance, Sports training, assisting them in putting up skits/dances and awareness projects in the form of exhibitions.
