N.C.C. was started in the college in 1966. Many of our students have completed N.C.C. ‘C’ Certificate Course, attended R.D. Parades, number of state level, regional level camps and have achieved number of prizes. So far, Mr. V.A. Bhurke, Dr. Lt. A.G. Uplekar, Dr. Captain U.C. Mashelkar (Present Principal of the college) have led the N.C.C. unit of our college attached to 3 Maharashtra Battalion. At present, Lt. DR R.R. Wagh is the in-charge of N.C.C. unit. The Patkar College N.C.C. Unit is one of the most recognised N.C.C. Units in the University of Mumbai. Every year, around 50-60 students are enrolled in Patkar College NCC unit attached to 3 Maharashtra Battalion, NCC, Mumbai.
Every year Republic Day is celebrated on 26th January in the college premises. A variety of programmes including March Past, Guard of Honour, Section Attack, Section Formation, Kung-Fu, Cultural items, Rappelling Demonstration thrilled the students and teachers who attended the function. The flag is hoisted at the hands of the Chief Guest. The large number of students, Ex- N.C.C. cadets, teaching and non-teaching staff and parents are generally present for the function.
Independence Day is also celebrated ever year on 15th August. The flag is hoisted at the hands of the Principal of the college. |

The last
year was also a great success for N.C.C. Cadet's
headed by our A.N. O. Lt. Dr. R.R. Wagh and S.U.O.
Zubin Marolia. Our ANO Lt. Dr. Rahul R. Wagh,
successfully completed Army attachment camp held
at Colaba in Mumbai from 10th Feb. 2005 to 24th Feb. 2005 alongwith of Cadets of our college.

This was held at Chinchni in Palghar
Dist. Raigad, from 22nd May to 2nd Jun 2004. Cadet.
Mukesh Kamble, Cdt. Rajesh Shingare and Sgt.
Mandar Patil attended the camp.

This camp was held at Uran Dist.
Raigad from 01 July to 10 July 2004. Our 24
cadet's were selected for this camp. Cadet Mukesh
Dasgaonkar won 2nd position in the Best Cadet
Competition.

This
is very prestigious camp before going to Republic
day parade camp at Delhi. Our Two cadets Kushal
Kadam and Santosh Gawade were selected for this
camp which was held at Uran.

This
camp was held at Bardi Tal. Palghar from 25th Oct. 2004 to 05 Nov. 2004, 20 cades of our college
attended camp.

NIC
(Warangal) |
| |
|
National
Integration Camp was held at Andhra Pradesh (Warangal)
from 21st Nov. 2004 to 04 Dec. 2004. Our Jr. U/O.
Vikas Koregaonkar, CQMS Rakesh Naykodi and Mukesh
Kamble attended the camp. They won Runners up
trophy for flag area competition in the camp.
JAIHIND LIBRARY is successfully run under the
guidance of our head A.N.O. Lt. Dr. R.R. Wagh
and our N.C.C. cadets. This year Dr. V.L. Dhavan
Reader in Chemistry Dept. donated books to Jaihind
Library. |

56th NCC Day - (24th November 2004) |

NCC
day was celebrated at R.C. Church ground, Naval
nagar; Colaba, with Honourable chief minister
Shri. Vilasrao Deshmukh as chief guest. Our 10
Cadet's participated in the NCC day and they represented
show of Counter INSURGENCY Operation (CIO). This
show was appreciated by the Chief minister of
Maharashtra State and also Group Commander of
Mumbai A. |

|
The
Flag was hoisted by chief guest Advocate of High
Court, Mumbai. Nilesh Kumar Pawaskar. He was Ex-Cadet
in 1984-85 of our college. Our principal Dr. U.C.
Mashelkar, Vice Principal Dr. A.G. Gadre and Vice
Principal D. R. Angane, staff members and Ex-cadet
attended the function. Cadets presented number
of events under the leadership of Lt. Dr. Rahul
R. Wagh. S.U.O. Zuben Marolia and others gave
the Sanman Guard Honour to the chief guest. Next
was the "Silent Drill", Incharge of
this group was JUO Sachin Hire.
"Bayonet fighting" was demonstrated
by JUO Vishal Bhosale Cdt. Naveen Kale, Rajesh
Lokapuri and cdt. Pranav Redkar.

Attack and Section formation was then presented
under the leadership of J.U/O. Aniket Choudhari.
In cultural Lezim was presented by Sgt. Mandar
Patil and Cdt. Shyam Jhadhav. Dumb and deaf students
of Sanskardham Vidyalaya Goregaon (W) Mumbai,
presented very imprressive gymnastics guided by
shri. Purshotam Jadhav. Last but not the least
there was a breath stopping Kung-Fu Demonstration
under the leadership of our Cadet Tukesh Dasdongkar
and Cadet Naveen Kale, Cdt. Mandar Patil, Cdt.

Lecture |

|
Major
General Dr. Vinod Karnik gave a talk to the N.C.C.
cadets of Patkar-Varde College on the `The Romance
of Soldiering'. The talk was accompanied by a
display of slides relevant to the topic. He explained
the opportunities for cadets for making career
in the Indian army. The talk was followed by a
lively interaction. Principal Dr. Mashelkar introduced
the guest and also made the occasion delightful
by narrating his own experiences as Cadet-Officer
in the N.C.C. |

In this camp, two cadets :

(ii) Cdt. Vaibhav Kambli , got First and
Second Prize respectively in Cross Country
Competition. |

Camel Safari (Rajasthan) : Cdt. Abhijit
A. Phadtare was the only cadet from all
over Maharashtra directorate to represent
our state and 3 MAH/BN/NCC. |

Scuba
Diving Camp : S.U.O. Mukund V.
Gaikwad was the only cadet selected from
Mumbai 'A' Group 3 MAH/BN/NCC for the Scuba
Diving Camp at Naval Command (Colaba). |

Aids
Awareness Rally : The cadets from
our college participated the Aids Awareness
Rally conducted by People Health Organisation
(PHO). |

Some
of our cadets arranged a "Cycle Safari"
from 9th April to the 21st April, 2002 for
social awareness (against narcotics). |

Last
but not the least, two of our cadets, Rajesh
Lokapur and Santosh Jogdand, were selected
for NIC Karnataka (Mysore), which was held
from 5th February to 16th February,2003 |

out of four cadets selected from Mumbai
